It's been 11 days since my last blog. Sorry about that. In those 11 days I have been very busy. I am trying to get my private lesson business to grow and have been planning events for that. I have been rehearsing for an open mic night: my guitar chops are still woeful.
I judged at the EIU Jazz festival. So it's been busy.
I am working on financing my album and details of that will emerge soon. And, oh yeah, I have another appointment in Houston coming up on March 23. I sincerely hope for great news. My last BMB showed 5% cancer left in the marrow, and I am hoping that will be down more. I won't feel bad if it's not, as long as it isn't growing.
The next day I am chaperoning the Edison band on their trip to Disney World. I took the trip 3 years ago, when Kaitlyn was still in the band. It was great and I got to know many, many people.
Jazz 3 is going well and hopefully, the kids will give a killer concert later in April.
I feel great. I was a little worried about some lymph nodes that had popped up (as I said in an earlier blog). But they are back down now and must have just been the body doing its work the way it is supposed to do it. I still have a cough, but even that is better. So, I think everything is going very well and have every expectation of good news after my next trip.
I've already given my regular readers the lowdown on my kind of cancer. Given that there is no "good" kind of cancer, it is the next best thing to it. It is slow growing, which is a double edged sword: It kills very slowly but that makes IT tough to kill. You can see the rest over in my sidebar or by reading blogs from a year ago when I was still on chemo.
I am now about 3 months with post clinical trial and although the results aren't the complete remission I had hoped for, it is still a very good result. As I continually tell everyone, I am hoping that this will just kind of sit there indefinitely maybe 10 years or more. But that's probably not very realistic on my part. Still, you have to have hope. And you have to keep living. So that is what I am doing.
You'll hear more about what I am doing very soon. Until then be well and live well.
